Greek Wars Page.
This picture represents The Battle Of Thermopylae, with a little humor. This is a phalanx, when brave warriors go shoulder to shoulder with their shields protecting them and spears out. This scene from 300 is when the Spartans charge the Persians, and win. After these long, hard wars, the Greeks were a lot closer to being one. They came together to fight these wars, and it saved their lives. They joined forces to save their land, and their name. After the Peloponnesian War, Sparta and Athens kind of hated each other. They did just go to war after all. For Sparta's perspective, they wanted Athens to be even with everyone else. Athens was just getting a little too powerful. For Athens perspective, they wanted to keep their power, and stop Sparta from taking it. In the end, Sparta technically won. They won overall, but sent out a peace treaty instead. The biggest impact would be Sparta and Athens hating each other. Click here to go to the video I chose. Here is the website!

This is a picture of Leonidas. He was a die-hard Spartan. He fought in the Battle Of Thermopylae, which led them to a great war. Towards the end, however, he got shot by over 100 arrows. He was a great Spartan General.

This is Xerxes. He was a bad guy that did absolutely nothing. He was a terrible general.
